Officially named the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl, this annual All-Star matchup features the best players from the American Football Conference (AFC) and National Football Conference (NFC). The Pro Bowl traditionally happens after the Super Bowl, although it has been scheduled before the Super Bowl in recent years. Players, coaches, and fans all share the voting responsibility for determining which players get to participate in this prestigious game. Although the usual rules for NFL games are altered for the Pro Bowl to help prevent player injuries, this game is still considered an important football event and being selected as a “Pro Bowler” is a significant honor.
